It is surprising how many enterprises, even under the well managed ones, use the principle of "laisser faire" managing projects. Of course this results in frustration, mismanagement and failures. Project Management is "savoir faire"!

The critical factors scope, time, money and quality must be defined and controlled using the proper methods and techniques. Managing projects is a managerial duty, leading the efforts of the team towards the goals of the project but considering the organisational environment, the project configuration and dealing with constraints and limitations.
